Bruce Hanley
About
Coach Bruce has over 8 years of experience teaching in after school programs, and 5 years of great reviews in his basketball training career. With a Psychology degree from UCLA, Early Childhood Certification, and several years of experience working with boys and girls 5-13 years old, he is equipped to improve the skill level of just about any child! He has been described as warm, high energy, and very patient, making him a good fit for most children.
My Approach
I take a wholistic and big picture approach to teaching youth athletes in basketball and agility. This involves improving movement, explosion, coordination and reaction speed. In basketball I focus on footwork, flow and form to improve shooting, ballhandling passing and defense. These are core elements of building the foundation of an athlete, allowing them to perform in their sport at a higher level. This approach improves athletes in the short run, but more importantly in the long run so that they have a solid foundation to build upon for the rest of their athletic career.
