About

Meet Coach Ty! I bring passion, experience, and a player-first mindset to basketball. With a strong background in player development and team leadership, I focus on building confident athletes both on and off the court. I began my coaching career at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, where he served as a manager for the Women’s Basketball program. Through the mentorship of Coach Larry Park, I gained valuable insight into leadership, team development, and the standards required to build successful programs. After graduating from Rockhurst University with a degree in Communications and Sport Management, I relocated to San Diego, California. Before joining Dime, I built my career as a basketball trainer and continue to work with athletes at all levels. I have experience training youth players, collegiate athletes, and professional players, most notably working with NBA star Jimmy Butler.

My Approach

I bring a passion for the game, a strong foundation in leadership, and real-world training experience to every athlete he works with. His journey from collegiate program management to professional-level training has shaped his player-first approach, focused on skill development, confidence, and character. I am committed to creating an environment where athletes are challenged to grow, motivated to compete, and supported both on and off the court.
